Literal Translation
The tranquil gaze, like the gaze of a doe,
And all about it that I loved so tenderly,
I’ve not forgotten even now, when I’m sad,
But now your image is in a fog.
The day will come when sadness too dies out,
And a dream of reminiscence will still glow bluely,
A dream where there’s no longer happiness or suffering,
Where all that’s left is distance all-forgiving.
