On Phallic Art

Penis, Anyone?

The Icelandic Phallological Museum in Reykjavik contains a collection of phallic specimens—more than 215 penises and penile parts from almost all of the land and sea mammals native to Iceland. There are seventeen different whale wieners on display, plus the tool of one “rogue polar bear.” You wonder how the tool of a rogue polar bear differs from that of a rather nice, ordinary, well-behaved polar bear. I’d bet that the rogue bear’s wiener is bigger, harder. And oh yeah, the museum also includes specimens from the mammal named, rather presumptuously, Homo sapiens.
