There are funguses amongus us, amongus us are funguses. “The largest living organism on earth today is a fungus in Oregon just beneath the ground, covering 3.7 square miles and estimated to weigh as much as thirty-five thousand tons.”

Hua Hsu in The New Yorker, May 18, 2020

Urghh. That makes me feel somehow numb. In our numbnesses we contemplate the funguses so wondrousus amongus us.

Why, when your brain hears certain combinations of words, does your brain get up on its tippy-toes and dance?
